How much Poka reads
B4 Summary. The container and metadata are read and summarised (counts, properties, structure), but the main content is not rendered.
Confidence: medium (the reviewer read the code). Basis: Reviewed 2026-10-26: read parsers/poka-vdi/src/main.rs (384 lines) and plugin.json. No unit tests or tests/samples.rs; the corpus has sample.vdi, read by no test. Covers .vdi and .vdi-vbox. The tree reads only the header: image type, virtual size, block size and counts, sector size, geometry, version, flags, description, image and parent UUIDs, block-map and data offsets, and the size on disk. Judgement: B4 rather than B5: the whole header is decoded, but the disk's contents are not.
What Poka does not read
- The virtual disk's contents (partitions, file systems, files) are not read
- The block map is located, not read, so allocation is not checked
- Snapshot and creation UUIDs other than image and parent are not shown
