How much Poka reads
B3 Core. Only the main content type or types are decoded (for example geometry but not materials, layers or annotations, or only one version family). The list of gaps is substantial.
Confidence: medium (the reviewer read the code). Basis: Reviewed 2026-10-26: read parsers/poka-shp/src/main.rs (375 lines) and plugin.json. The three unit tests cover a two-point polyline, a point count larger than its record and a parts array past the record; the corpus has .shp samples, read by no test. Covers .shp. The parser reads the header and every record and draws points, polylines, polygons and multipoints on the 2D map; Z and M variants are drawn as their XY. Judgement: B3: the geometry is drawn, but attributes and projection live in other files that are not read.
What Poka does not read
- Attributes (.dbf) are not read: the sandbox gives the parser only the .shp
- The projection (.prj) is not applied
- Z and M values are ignored
- MultiPatch shapes are not drawn (judgement from the code)
- Caps of 4,000,000 points; files over 512 MiB are cut without a flag
