B2 Broad. The common content of the current and the common older versions is decoded. Some named features or versions are not, and are listed.

Confidence: low (a judgement from the documentation). Basis: Reviewed 2026-10-16: the poka-gltf text check and unit tests, the seven corpus files (five need sidecar files that the corpus lacks) and the vendored Three.js GLTFLoader plus how the web and desktop hosts load sidecars. The tier covers glTF 2.0 that is self-contained or opened with its sidecar files; a lone .gltf with external files dropped on the web app does not load.

Background

The Library of Congress dates glTF 1.0 to October 2015 and glTF 2.0 to June 2017; version 2.0 is not backward compatible and added physically based materials. A .gltf file is a JSON scene that points at separate .bin buffers and texture images; the binary container is the .glb file. Poka checks the header and then lets the frontend viewer load the model, so it does not decode geometry itself.
