How much Poka reads
B4 Summary. The container and metadata are read and summarised (counts, properties, structure), but the main content is not rendered.
Confidence: medium (the reviewer read the code). Basis: Reviewed 2026-10-26: read parsers/poka-uci/src/main.rs (316 lines) and plugin.json. No unit tests or tests/samples.rs, and the corpus has no .uci sample. Covers .uci. The card counts the protocol commands and responses (uci, uciok, option, isready, ucinewgame, position, go, stop, bestmove, info) and shows the engine name and author, moves played, maximum depth, nodes and speed, the score range and sample best moves. Judgement: B4: the session is summarised but not shown as a dialogue or a game.
What Poka does not read
- The session is not shown line by line
- Options are counted, not listed with their values
- Principal variations and per-move scores are not shown
- No board or game is reconstructed from the position and bestmove lines
Libraries
Libraries Poka uses or has assessed for this format, with the status, licence and language the registry records.
- vampirc-uci (candidate; Apache-2.0; Rust; https://github.com/vampirc/vampirc-uci) — pest-based parser for UCI protocol messages (incl. info); parses message lines, not log files as such. Last push seen March 2022.
