How much Poka reads
B4 Summary. The container and metadata are read and summarised (counts, properties, structure), but the main content is not rendered.
Confidence: medium (the reviewer read the code). Basis: Reviewed 2026-10-26: read parsers/poka-grib/src/main.rs (662 lines) and plugin.json. No unit tests or tests/samples.rs; the corpus has climate-dt-healpix-data.grib, read by no test. Covers .grib, .grb, .grib2 and .grb2. The tree walks every message and shows its edition, discipline, length, reference time and originating centre, grid (template, points, dimensions, latitude and longitude bounds), parameter and level, and data representation. Judgement: B4: every message's metadata is decoded, but the data values are not unpacked or plotted.
What Poka does not read
- Data values are not unpacked (simple, complex or JPEG 2000 packing) and no field is plotted
- Parameters and levels are shown as numbers, not named from the WMO tables (judgement from the code)
- Bitmaps are not read
- Only the first 50 messages are listed
