How much Poka reads
B4 Summary. The container and metadata are read and summarised (counts, properties, structure), but the main content is not rendered.
Confidence: medium (the reviewer read the code). Basis: Reviewed 2026-10-26: read parsers/poka-minidump/src/main.rs (560 lines) and plugin.json. No unit tests or tests/samples.rs; the corpus has rust-minidump_test.dmp, read by no test. Covers .dmp and .mdmp. The tree walks the stream directory and shows the operating system and CPU, crash time, exception code and flags, faulting address and crashing thread, the thread count, the loaded modules and the raw stream directory. Judgement: B4: what crashed and where is decoded, but no stack or memory is.
What Poka does not read
- Thread contexts and stacks are not decoded; no stack trace is shown
- Memory streams are not shown
- Module version information and debug records are not read (judgement from the code)
- Handles, unloaded modules and other streams are listed by type only
- Full kernel dumps (not minidumps) are refused
