How much Poka reads
B4 Summary. The container and metadata are read and summarised (counts, properties, structure), but the main content is not rendered.
Confidence: medium (the reviewer read the code). Basis: Reviewed 2026-10-26: read parsers/poka-rpm/src/main.rs (955 lines) and plugin.json. The five unit tests cover the header walk and truncation; corpus_rpms_have_no_integrity_findings runs hello-2.12.3-1.fc43.x86_64.rpm and sample.rpm through the integrity check. Covers .rpm and .srpm. The tree reads the main header and shows name, version, release, architecture, OS, summary, licence, URL, vendor, packager, group, build host and installed size, the installed file list (BASENAMES, DIRNAMES, DIRINDEXES) and the description. Judgement: B4: the package metadata and file list are shown, but the payload is not.
What Poka does not read
- The cpio payload is not decompressed, so no installed file is shown
- Dependencies (Requires, Provides, Conflicts, Obsoletes), scriptlets, triggers and the changelog are not shown
- The signature header is skipped: signatures and digests are not shown or verified
- Caps of 4,000 files and 3,000 nodes; files over 16 MiB are cut
